Show yr. obscure pedals!

Post by dronemachine »

Hey people!

I got this analog multi fx obscurity a few years ago,it's not even known enough to be called an underdog...it says-SSH/fuzz-filter,but it's so much more than that. The reasons I'm posting this: 1.I think the design is ahead of it's time even today (it's made in 1975.)! 2.I think it'd be a good idea to share/show yr.obscure-vintage-or-whatever-out-of-production-not known/praised-whacky-good sounding pedals to the other players in this community 3.hopefully inspire pedal builders to check out the free spirit of this old bad boys, and the plethora of tones that was given within a single machine. The fuzz in this pedal made me sell my reissue big muff without a second thought!;Tremolo is very spacemen 3-playing with fire-percussion-repeat-like...combos possible with the pedal:1.clean>exp=vol 2.clean>trem>exp.pedal=mix for clean/trem 3.clean>filter>trem (syncs the filter for rotary-like sound)>exp=filter 4.fuzz>exp=vol 5.fuzz>trem>exp=mix for fuzz/trem 6.fuzz>filter>exp=wah-like 7.fuzz>trem>(syncs the filter for rotary-like sound)>filter>exp=filter wah 8.clean>filter>exp=filter-wah-like

C'mon people,show yr.obscure pedals! :poke:

thats pretty gnarly. it reminds me of these strange russian pedals I became obsessed with, you can find them on ebay from time to time, I don't remember company names(cou;dn't pronounce them anyways). There is one that was a flange/delay/filter/fuzz with an expression pedal. only thing that keeps me from buying it is a. the wierd 2 prong plug b. not sure of the voltage requirements over there. :idk:

should be easy to hook up to a variac so you can use them where ever you live.

I'll have to dig around and see what odd pedals I have.

That Regal out of phase is obscure. It's the Foxx Foot Phaser.
The Foxx pedals by them selves have a huge following.
The ones made for other retail outlets are really great finds.

Now if I could just find an OD Machine.

yep...you know the regal for sure. i am a big foxx guy. it was ont first pedal that i obsessed over, i'm talking the tone machine and the fuzz oct wha. i actually have three green furr tone machine made with clear logos and amber lights within the pedals. of coarse they are for art only, but they were made by foxx. i'm traveling but once i get home i'll poct a pic.

another slightly obscure one i freak over is the seamoon funk machine trig filter. bad ass and over looked big time.
i'm just recovering from a major puter breakdown (why i've been absent)...so i don't as much pics of my shite on hand.

Can you find the model number somewhere on that pedal?

It should be XE-752, XE-754 or a bigger number...

Another thing I have that may be obscure is a DIY delay housed in a wah pedal, where the speed of the delay is controlled by the wah sweep. It pretty much will bend your mind.

I have a spare wah enclosure...but no one to put a delay inside.I don't know a shit about electronics, but as soon as I'm off the art academy,I'm goin' to get some books on it.It's always about time,sadly... :(

BTW,nice freaky pedals,people!Now,let's see more! :)

Beckmen BPA-100 and BPA-200 "The Boss" Acoustic Preamps: 2 Boss products with the modern Boss logo, but they're not made by Roland. The BPA-100 is in the Boss book and the Boss US site's timeline, about the BPA-200 there's nothing on internet or in books...

I have a lot of Eastern Block stuff (USSR, DDR, Poland, Ukraine, baltic states,...) from the 70's and 80's :D

A big part of my collection is cheap & obscure...
