The new Boss DD-7 also has taptempo if I am correct.. Only need an external tap-pedal if I am informed right..

That's correct, that's what I use. 1/4, 1/8th, dotted 8th, and triplets. The analog mode is also pretty convincing. I'm a fan.

Not tap tempo- I'm a set and forget guy- Multi Tap- IE multiple delay hits. I'm currently accomplishing this with 2 delays chained, but I'd love a more elegant solution.

Echopark has multitap? That's nifty.
I've got an echolution right now, and I've found the multitap to sound more like it splits your tempo than multiple delays. Which is why I have a PDS 1002 also. Moral of the story: 2 delays>multitap.
Maybe someone wants to splain me a way to make multitap sound awesome?

you can get something similar with a dsd-2/3 and a drum machine/whatever plugged into the trigger in. I have a dsd-3 with a cassio mt-something plugged into it and it get's all kinds of crazy multi delay type sounds.
