Algal Bloom CHOKE Video? / FC Barbershop Brother?

Hi hi.

I've been watching a ton of AB VWUH-deos online, but haven't found one in which the AB has the germanium choke.

Does anyone have one or could you maybe like maybe for certainly record one? Or like a Soundcloud MP3 however that works?

I see that it says "variable gate"... I loooooove gates on fuzzes... what would you compare it to? Like a subtle Soda Meiser gate or what? I have a US Fuzz and I'm sure it's not that nutty, but I'm wondering exactly what you can do with it. There is a bit of a gate on my AB-Synth, so I'm guessing it's probably similar to that, if only a little more choked.

Also... does anyone that owns an Algal Bloom also own a Fairfield Circuitry Barbershop? I have a Barbershop, and it is WAAAAAAAY my favourite overdrive evers. I'm thinking that if the Algal Bloom is like a FUZZ version of what the Barbershop does, I want one.

I have one. The choke goes from very subtle gate to subtle gate depending on the input gain and voltage. I can maybe do a demo comparison for ya today if I feel like it. While the fuzzes are different the gate is less gatey than a sodameiser.

Ok, cool. I'm not sure if I'd like the choke mod or not. I have some pretty gatey fuzzboxes anyway... we'll see.
