So all the stuff from the guys at Visual Sound came in today. Very exciting; the new version of the H20 pedal is MUCH smaller than the original one, which makes the pedalboard real estate agent in me happy. Might have to unload the old version one sometime...

However, add that I traded my old volume pedal for an Arc Flash, so now I have something else to wait on. Oh well, it's a vicious cycle.

Finally got the Freeze today. Long story short, I ended up canceling the order with the Mad Ape and ordered it through Brad at Tone Factor, who was able to ship it out the next day instead of waiting a month and a half. Bummer that it all ended up like that, but happy that I got the pedal. It's pretty cool; I can see a lot of uses for it. Threw some velcro on it and tossed it on the church board, so I'll see where I can work it in tomorrow morning.

I've had my eyes set on a few things for a while now but nothing's gonna happen anytime soon.

Yeah Mad ape gave me a long wait too the one time I ordered from them [on a DE KP] when they said [on thar page] it was in stock, I didn't like that, no I didn't.

I brought that up to Matt, their customer service guy. I suggested that they change their wording on the webpage, or people would feel misled. My whole feeling was that I was doing more legwork to make myself happy than they were, which was the wrong way to do things.

Same happened to me when I ordered a Hype and AE.

The Hype finally came a month later, but the AE was a bit later, and they emailed me saying they needed my credit card info again. I didn't respond... it said "in stock." That's why I chose them. >.>

Interesting that we've all had the exact same problem with Mad Ape (ordering something their webpage says "in stock," when it really isn't).

Even crazier - the same month, Feb '08 I paid in full over $6K for a handmade Wiard synthesizer.

Still waiting.

You're comparing custom, hand-built instruments to a mass manufactured pedal. Not the same thing.
