Awesome I LOVE the AB... I run it into the Great Wall and freak out... But it's now my "allways on" pedal and I might get another couple, or ask Tom to make a dual AB cascaded or a Fuzzhugger with a couple of AB's in the loop? :idk:

Anyway you'll love it too.!. :yay:

My Algal Bloom arrived! Saw one on the 'bay and snagged it for $95. It doesn't seem to have a number but it's a common 4 knob floral print. Really great looking little thing.

So I plug it in like this: guitar>Phantom Octave>Algal Bloom>ABSynth>Boss DD5>QTron+>Line 6 M9 (I'll talk about that thing later  . All of this is direct into two Behringer DI's through my PA. The order of the FH pedals was natural enough to get the best out of each.

I start playing to see where I'm at and it's really good, right away. I put the level and gain at 2, bloom at noon, then started messing with the starve. I never had a fuzz with a starve and I really like what I came up with parking at 9 o'clock. Then began the Rock! or similar! This is exactly what I've been looking for, seriously. It's rich in harmonics and the controls have a much bigger sweep than the ABSynth. Wonderful note separation and punch. The Peavey T-60 has a multitude of pickup configs and it plays really nicely with all my FHs.

My lovely wife was in the room and she said that it "Sounds..like..sublime." Now I love Sublime, but what I was playing did not sound like them. She clarified, "Not like Sublime, but the sound is sublime, like you, but you playing guitar in heaven." :) . Then I kicked in the Phantom Octave and she said, "Now that's the Sex one. That one (the AB) sounds like you have a chorus of angels and that one (the PO) sounds like you're shooting lightning." Thanks for your encouraging feedback, babe! Then, sex and sex. Yay me! :yay:

Anyways, thanks everyone, for helping me pick the Algal Bloom. I was inspired to write a slogan for Tom.

Sweet! NEXT, talk Tom over to do a custom job, namely the Groundswell and You'll never need/want another overdrive, and don't sit too log on that decision - You will not regret it. :thumb: But this time I'll try not to go to the full length rally mode about it's superiority...

i am afraid that tom no longer builds groundswells.

very happy with my groundswell that is in the blurzyhugger custom. after tom made the groundswell oscillator for deadman i bribed him to mod the blurzyhugger for groundswell oscillation and it is probably my meanest oscillator!

however bassus, i would love to hear what your custom groundswell running into the fuzzhuggasaurus would sound like!!! :whoa:
