My DD7 has been acting weird lately. I'll tap in a tempo and switch the pedal on, and at first everything is bueno. But when I turn the pedal off then on again, the tempo goes away and I don't get a delayed signal. Then when I hold down my external tap, it behaves live a momentary switch that enables the delayed signal. Kind of hard to explain but it's not normal behavior.
So the question is, should I be using a TRS cable instead of the regular patch cable I've been using? Like one with 2 rings instead of just one.

I have some trs cables if you end up needing one. That momentary delay kind of sounds cool even though it's not how it should work.

Thanks bud. Yeah the momentary thing is actually pretty fun, I wish it were a legit feature
I have a sneaking suspicion that I need a TRS cable. Got any super short ones? Preferably angled?

Not super short (1ft) but they are right angled.

Cool man, I'll probably hit you up for one. Especially if someone can confirm that this is indeed my problem.

I'm a moron. I just remembered I have a TRS cable that I use for my bass cab. I'll try that out today.

Scratch that. When I use a TRS cable it doesn't even pick up the tempo I'm tapping in, so I'm back to square one with this problem.

Re: dd7 external tap
Are you using the right external footswitch? Some are latching and others are momentary. It sounds like your DD-7 is right fucked thougg.
