I love synthesizer pedals

Post by Toonster »

I love synthesizer pedals for my bass, I now have EHX Bass Micro Synth and it's awesome I think, and I think I will buy the Behringer BSY600 because it's cheap. I don't know about the Boss stuff.. I like the Pigtronix Earthship but it's a bith expensive for my budget..

Do you have some suggestions where to look at with Synthesizer pedals? :)

go with the behringer it kicks the boss and digitecs asses I do recomend a bypass pedal with it since it can be a little noisy when bypassed

I still have a pretty much unused ls-2 so that would not be a problem

And the enclosure, is it true what some say, or is it pretty solid?

I have the EHX BMS, the Boss SYB-5 and the Behringer BSY-600. The Behringer does kick the Boss's butt, but the enclosure really is a piece of crap. I just endure it. :idk:

The other synths that haven't been mentioned yet are the Chunk System Octavius Squeezer (expensive but an actual analog oscillator, with digital pitch tracking) and the Markbass Super Synth (getting some love lately over on TB)

MWFX Wave Machine can get you toward synthyness but you'll definitely need other pedals to take you the rest of the way. There's also the Robot Factory ProtoPhase (I think that's what it's called) and Snazzy FX has a couple cool offerings... when are we gonna get some ILF builder synth love happening?

Totally forgot about the markbass series, I read about it when there where no clips available, but those synth sounds sound great! :joy:
The Chunk Systems is amazing too, but well maybe after a lot of saving that would be an option.. :idk:

All the other suggestions I will check later this evening when I am in a geeky pedal checking youtube mood

I'd love to see somebody do something with the Korg X911. How about a boutique version of this freaky pedal?
