new pedal idea. this is going to be amazing... i hope!

although this idea isn't all that original, it's something i've been thinking about and obsessing about for years . i think i'm finally at that stage where i can make it happen... here's a little simulated demo idea i put together. i have ALL the details to think about so this will be on the backburner and i'm open to ideas about how to make it better. goddamn i wish i could post in the main forum without feeling too spammy... it is only an idea, though.

certainly some refinements will need to be made - vibrato depth, overall overdrive distortion sound, filter, etc.

I like this alot..if you turned the vibrato depth all the way off, could you use something like this as a controllable lo-fi filter?
It would be cool if you could control what sort of 'lo-fi' sound it had..and maybe controls that altered the way the distortion circuit interacts with everything else?

yes to the first part... i think each block of the circuit will be controllable in some way, though i want the controls to be as simple as possible as it's the combination of effects that make the particular sound:
vibrato, crackle, gainstage, filter
