I'm not an expert when it comes to amps but my general feeling is no.

Well I think it sounds like a swell deal but if you really like the Sovtek just think about cleaner preamp tubes for a lower cost option....... I had a similar issue with my JCM 900 (although with less resale value than a Sovtek of course) and changing out the tubes gave it a great sound, way less "gain-soaked" for sure.......

You could find another mig and still have money left over if you did the trade and eventually decided to sell :idk:

I'd trade because you'll have more value. I went from a Mig50 to a YCV40A to a YCV80Q, guaranteed that man wouldn't have traded the half-stack fro the YCV80, but you'll be able to trade that Orange for more than the Mig. Oh how I miss it though.

Perhaps i'll be able to buy that guys orange. Um so my question is can i get a better amp head than my sovtek for 850 us or 900 aud ? Want something that has medium gain that can over driven but has super nice cleans. I really like the sound of a fender twin i tried and how it took pedals is it possible to get a head that's similar to one in that kind of price range? :poke: Maybe i should just give myself a break and get new tubes but NEW STUFF!

if you like a twin, try and find yourself a fender tube PA 100.

i use one and i actually like it more than my twin. it's just a tad darker and gainier. they're also super cheap! i got mine for $300... :thumb:
