The Korg Mini Kaoss Pad can do some TSP type stuff with its looping function. I can't find a decent demo on the the Youtubes but I've owned a couple and they sound rad. Plus you get a shit ton of other rad effects.

PS. You can get them new for $120

I considered PMing you!

I think I MAY give that a shot...

I guess what I really want is for Cloudscapes to go ahead and release his little glitchy looper thing.

I've been listening to phantomsmasher all day, and feeling like I NEED a KP.

BTW an M9 is really cool with this footswitch Ifeellikeatourist made me. It plugs into the exp slot, and allows either a fixed or momentary change of any effect. So I can have a delay on with mix all the way down and tap the momentary switch and all of a sudden do a SUPER harsh hold with a really fast delay time and feedback all the way up. It's cool for changing your effects from normal to crazy for split seconds if need be. Or you can just set it to alternate between two settings via the fixed switch. Oh, and mine is a neon pink box. I'll try and get pics ASAP. And hopefully a demo.

Ok...I get what you're saying. But, The Man's stuff is amazing and there are no shortcuts to the sound you can get with a tsp cas or slight.. With that said, most of the time I will record a TSP sample into a LoFi Loop Junky and go from there...which opens up the possibility to use a laptop or a smartphone app to get a super lofi sample going on. The TSP's ability to speed up or slow down your sample in very cool ways, I guess the interpolation of the speed & pitch, is where the magic is. Anyway. You can't put a price on genius..and that's what the man is.

the tsp is nuts

when i had mine i used to end my set with it
strum some big ass chord
flick the switch real quick and slowly turn the pitch knob slowly down
it sounded like i was slowing down a reel to reel tape machine and a megatron sound destruction looping over and over
a real crowd please

had teh pedal nerds like

umm, hey, I didn't "pull" anything! :wha?:
believe me nobody's more frusterated about hollow earth lag than I am. the thing is fuckin stressful to build, takes ages, and literally 1 out of 2 built has some kind of problems that require more hours of hunting the problem down and fixing it (often replacing either of the two PCBs). in short, it's hell to build. even so, I've made 4 this year. admitedly at a much slower rate than I had initially planned, but it hasn't been "pulled". I haven't "pulled" anyone off any lists, even though getting through the list wil ltake a whole lotl ogner than I hoped. a lot of people will lose interest. that can't be helped. I have a full time job and other stuff to think about. then once in a blue moon I have a bit of time to work on DIY, I can either choose building a boring difficult build that I've done 20 times already, or try something new like that looper.

nobody's more frusterated than I am, but building a lot of copies of this complicated stuff disheartened me much more than I thought it would. I'm trying to get through my list. I'm trying to get through this suckish thing..

I was being a dick
love ya scapey, no worries, I'm one of those that will 'not' lose interest and will wait patiently for the simple fact that if it had arrived as originally planned I would not have had the money for it
