Re: Talk Bass Treehouse and Water cooler
Any experiences with the Gretsch g2202?
I've heard nothing but great things for the most part about the Gretsch Electromatic series (hell, I own a G5120), does that extend over their one bass?

Gretsch g2202: I played one like ten years ago.... I don't remember much other then thinking the pickup was a little under powered but that was a long time ago and I don't remember even what amp I played it through.
edit: if you plan on running through dirt and boosts all the time though......

Buggering up is wat that thread is all about.
I think I put Jimmy in his place rather nicely myself.
Your posts were all perfect. purrrrrr-fect.
Think it will get locked? I hope not now. I was hoping for a lock when it started. Now? I think it should live.
Just so you know, Pandafist is my younger brother.. and he is a jerk.

Re: Talk Bass Treehouse and Water cooler
I definitely found the thread funny, particularly because Jimmy got so riled up, and I AM sick hearing about the VT Bass. But I have a Leeds and I love it. And it definitely seemed like it was starting to go into the "if you're too poor to get a real tube amp, then you suck/you're lame" That made me kinda

Re: Talk Bass Treehouse and Water cooler
Actually for my part I was just trying to piss people off and that is the fastest way
I actually have nothing against the things just the VT cult as they are like a cult. And if I was going to use a SS amp I would get one I liked the sound of and not get a pedal to fix that. I thought you use your Leeds as a effect not as a bandaid so
See for me the most important thing as far as amps are amps with big transformers, all the SS amps I have liked are heavy and big.

F that guy. For real.
His whole "You are calling me stoopid" argument was so out of left field.
