New guitar and fuzz day!!

Post by pothole »

I'm a little bit overwhelmed by TWO new items I got today.....I traded a Boogie amp for an all original 1965 Fender Mustang today at lunch...then when I got home there was a Skinpimp MKI sitting on my porch (not of this earth graphic!) My god, I sure hope the wifey doesn't expect me to actually spend any time with her tonight!! heh.

That is indeed a fantastic combo.

What amp are you running, now that you have no Boogie?

Doom Room - type fast, riff slow

I had switched o an AC30 a year or so ago from the Mark IV, and use a 70's Silverface Deluxe Reverb for my cleans. The Mark IV just wasn't getting used, plus it's a lot of amp to use live..a little intimidating...I tend to do better with single channel amps for the most part.

great finds, pothole :thumb: I've always wanted a Fender Mustang..in fact..if you get tired of yours any time soon :poke:
Never tried one of those fuzzes..it's basically a "Clone" Bender, right?

Right on...yep, a Tone Bender MKI clone. If you're interested in one, I would HIGHLY suggest getting ahold of Ian Sherwen at Ghost Effects.

That is going to be an awesome set-up--seriously awesome. It's a lot to lug around though, eh?

Yea...typically i just take the deluxe for smaller gigs, the vox for most gigs, and both for the bigger/special/longer gigs.
