Getting tired of amp searching

Post by Sockgazer »

I miss when I used to geek out over pedals instead. That feels like a distant land now. Pedals are cool since I can actually afford them regularly... amps not so much.

The M9 killed a lot of my pedal GAS though, but I rarely use it as I feel kind of uninspired lately without the right amp to put it through. IT's a lot to do with my apartment as well, it's just kind of shitty.

What are you looking for in an amp? To be honest, I've found I can shape my tone more with a basic clean sound from an amp and pedals.

I use a big, loud, solid state that I got on the cheap. Set it to a decent clean sound, and forget it. Let the pedals do the tone shaping.

It's worked for me for ~4 years now. :idk:
