Re: Correct Sound Custom
I have not but have been eyeing those for a really long time, like a decade it seems like. Surely must be some folks around here that have had one . . .

Re: Correct Sound Custom
I've started contacting him.
I wanted to know the differences between the MT Tube Pre-amp and the HC-100 tube preamp. What he got back to me with was a very technical answer about tube amp circuits [he talks like my amp tech at Old School amps so I'm feeling better about them] which the short answer was the that MT is a Sunn Model T based and the HC-100 is Hiwatt based
I sent a second question off now about ambient noise due to power sources which is a recurring issue I've had with tube preamp pedals... Some like the OG H&K Tubeman and the Budda Zenman are nice and quiet while others like the Mesa V-Twin, 2nd Gen H&K Tubeman, and Real Tube pedals have this to verying degrees...

I think what interests me the most about his stuff is it is based around real old school type amps that are not designed for one specific type of music or a swiss army knife designed for guys in cover bands that sort of get you close to great sound but fall short due to flexibility and options... AND they are not trying to make a BLUES pedal to sound like a fucking fender... God I hate the overdriven fender boomer blues lead sound...

Re: Correct Sound Custom
wanted a MT for somewhere around 10 years or so now. Never got one though mainly because of the shipping risk. I have a effectrode blackbird tube preamp that works fine for my needs (like you mentioned, noise, hum, etc. is a concern for me due to living near an airport and the dirty power that is all over the grid here in Thailand) and has been working fine for years now without any issue. the marketing for it to blues players is nauseating, but it works for what i want it to do. i use it for the preamp that goes into my isp stealth 180 watt power amp for a small portable live rig that doubles as my recording rig as well. i love it overall for what i need to do and like to do. if for some reason it broke, i wouldn't hesitate to buy another one used. i got mine for a huge discount used. I don't see many that go on reverb from CSC go on for much below the listing price (again probably due to shipping costs involved when people buy them initially and how rare they are in general). the MT seems like it would be a killer clean platform for anything really, much like the blackbird i have but obviously in a slightly different route.
good deals/trades/business with: JonnyAngle, rdw102, crochambeau, worra, $harkToootth, Olin, fuzzonaut, friendship, ianmarks, digi2t

Re: Correct Sound Custom
I was considering the MT when I was looking for a preamp last year, but the scarcity of demos, inconvenient PSU requirement and Russian post being slow as heck made it difficult to pull the trigger.
Ended up with the EAE Model feT, mainly for the convenience and low noise floor. I think it's fantastic but I dunno if it'd convince anyone who's used to the real t00b mojo

Re: Correct Sound Custom
Back in 2013, I contacted them and they let me order a pedal and send them a painted enclosure for it to be (built in? built into? I sent them the enclosure in which the pedal was built.
Anyway, they were super cool and accommodating. Shipping to and from Russia took a long time, and I had to find the obscure power supply at Radio Shack (and then didn't ultimately love the sound of the pedal and sold or traded it not long after), but overall it was a good experience.

Hi all! I'm looking to buy one of these pedals on short notice. Any of the Correct Sound Model T preamp pedals -- if you have one and are selling, please hit me up. Cheers thanks
