Re: I've made

Post by ifeellikeatourist »

Several months ago I impulse bought a belair green G&L ASAT Special off ebay. First time I bought a new guitar in probably 7 years. I sold my MIM Tele and an Epi Les Paul to compensate for it. Worth it.

I recently bought my wife a soprano and tenor ukulele, and an autoharp. A year ago she played no instruments, now she's addicted and our ukulele folk project is underway.

I impulse bought an EHX double muff with some store credit I got from trading in some crappy pedals, it is a surprisingly awesome sounding pedal and will stay on my board for the time being.

I also bought a 68 Vox Clyde McCoy wah pedal off of Craigslist, primarily for the purpose of reselling, though I have yet to do so.

I'm currently hunting down the right drum set on Craigslist. About once every week or two something viable pops up, but I have yet to pull the trigger. I almost snagged one last weekend, but couldn't pick it up for a few days and in the meantime someone else offered more for it and got it. :(

A lot of stuff on here! Hard to comment on all of them!

I recently purchased my emporor 2x12, twin (trade, not purchase), music man, digitech whammy and a tube driver (still waiting on it, damn customs!!).

All that from saving a ton and selling off my old L120.

I'm a very happy (and overwhelmed) dude.

So totally worth it.

first of all that avatar is probably the best on the forum right now
second, howd scott pilgrim influence your WC purchase?

i second this
scott pilgrim has a mini wolf :?:

Oh no, the 8bit fever in that movie/game/soundtrack made me desperately want to make fun glitchy sounds, and the Mini Wolf seemed to give that in droves. Rather tenuous I know :thumb: .

Also, hell yeah Charmander.

My dream amp fell into my lap a month ago ... my local CL is all Cort-starter-packs all the time, so to see this thing show up, just up the road was amazing.

The cab's Chinese, got it off TGP. I put in these:

Of course, then I needed a stompable treble booster and I already sold my Sugar Boost (why???), so I snagged a Red Rooster

Image

... 10 minutes later another one showed up as a BIN w/ the trannie I like best (OC71).

And then the great white whale surfaced off the starboard bow.

This makes me feel much better about "splurging" for an Ernie Ball volume pedal... But seriously devnull, I have mad gas for your job that lets you afford all that awesome stuff

That AC30 is dreamy.

Remember when everyone was always drooling over NewarkWilder's pedalboard(s) and gear and finally we demanded of him that he reveal his occupation? I think that Devnull is the new NW-esque mystery man. Seriously, dude, how do you afford all of this stuff? Reveal to us the secrets of your seemingly endless gear budget!
