Rechargeable Power supply for pedals

Post by Confuzzled »

Thoughts on if this is worth investing in? Here are 2 options:

Higher end http://www.sweetwater.com/c961--Ess_Pow ... lsrc=aw.ds

More affordable http://www.amazon.com/Guitar-Portable-I ... 8190&psc=1

Don't know if I believe the power time stated. It may last longer if you're only powering 1 pedal.

I bought one of these summer before last when we were limited to doing park jams, and I've found it to be a decently reliable piece of kit.

I haven't pushed it to the max or even tried to see how long it would hold the charge for, but it never died on me while using it. Plus, it seems to do okay with digital pedals (I've used Zoia with it several times, as well as the Zoom Multistomp, which is known to be fussy with daisy chains.)

(A friend of mine also got one and has used it even more extensively and has had no problems either.)
solo (mostly ambient): https://heraclitusakimbo.bandcamp.com/
duo (electroacoustic vibration exploration): https://wenderlypark.bandcamp.com/
trio (tapes/voice/clarinet/synth/poems): https://ourwaytofall.bandcamp.com/
band (spontaneous kosmische): https://stargoon.bandcamp.com/

I also help co-ordinate Okta, ILF's collaborative community ambient project: https://okta.bandcamp.com
