Pedals for your pedals

You know what I mean- there are lots, but what I'm interested in are the ones that turn your pedals into something EVEN COOLER.

One of the coolest things about synthesizer land is all the modulation capabilities synths have- whether its traditional synths or eurorack, nowadays you can pretty much modulate anything with anything else. Pedal land is definitely lacking in this regard- but maybe there are some cool workarounds?

I can think of a few- EHX 12 step program, TWA Sidestep, OBNE Expression Ramper. But what about exp/cv splitters? Envelope generators? i know CoPilot FX had some stuff in this vein- anything else?

Klein Bottle-esque routing thingies are cool too!

Any other pedals you get for your pedals? You know, for pedaling?

Boredbrain's Patchulator is the first one that came to mind, and now they also have the Interfx (Euro-style patching) & the Terminal (patchbay hub).

The Meng Qui Wingie2 Stereo Resonator might also fit teh bill

Cooper Fx’s swan song pedals, the Expression Generator and the Signal Path Selector, are both worthy but probably not easy to find. The Expression Generator is crazy AF if you are willing to MIDI program it. The SPS is no slouch either—it’s an order switcher, it’s a mixer, it’s a loop switcher with trails, it’s a feedback looper.

There’s Pladask Matrisse matrix mixers and Kniv feedback looper.

There’s a feedback looper called the Flooper that I’ve read good things about but I think was small shop and I haven’t heard about new production for years.

There’s a stereo mixer thing new from GFI that may do more than the SPS—it’ll run stereo channels and has an LFO that can modulate pan, probably much more. I’ve been trying not to want one right away so ai haven’t read the literature.

Voltage starves. I hate to say it, but the new JHS one might be a step above the typical in-the-powe-line potentiometer stuff.

I’m planning on resurrecting my old live board that is moog infested and fitting that thing back on somehow.. I’m also going to look in to other cv routers to put in between

The Dreadbox Epsilon has CV in and out stuff and its best trick is that it will turn the envelope of your guitar signal into a CV that you can use to control other pedals with expression inputs.

Zoia is totally worthwhile on the pedal board even if it isn't in the signal chain. You can do so much with it.
