Man, I guess I don't follow pop culture or whatever closely enough to have knowledge of who in that list is a "plant" and how their parents or connections or whoever factored into their success. I guess usually if someone has a meteoric rise seemingly out of nowhere, there are likely some strings being pulled behind the scenes.coupleonapkins wrote: But plants, as it were, are usually the most obvious thing, especially when their parents are somewhat on the edge of the industry they live to serve (Phoebe Bridgers, Post Malone, Oliver Tree, Judd Apatow's kids, etc.), if they aren't already the most boring people front & center, anyway.

Regurts... I've regurgitated a few yoghurts in my day.qersty wrote:people wanting confirmation that magic exists.
But one of my biggest acid-reflux moments centers around how, at age 12, I waffled between
getting an orange Squier Strat with white pickguard and maple neck and a black and white Squier
with rosewood neck. At the time the orange strat reminded me of a Creamsicle and that thought
brought a warmth of magic through association, but Jimi Hendrix played a black strat with rosewood
neck and... well... you guessed it.
I succumbed to the myth of magic by association. Even though within a year of that fateful, adolescent
decision my friend with whom I started a band and I started referring to guitars as "electric bananas", which
perhaps indicates that I should have held out for a yellow guitar, and not an orange or black one?
Yellow is the new orange is the new black.

Some years I have very good luck growing string beans. Other summers I have more luck with bush beans.Blood_mountain wrote:there are likely some strings being pulled behind the scenes.
This last summer was good for peas and bush beans and morning glories.
I often snap the string beans behind the scenes. Best served in stir fry.

In all seriousness, adding sugar to something as wonderful as beans is a goddamn travesty.
