I mostly use beck pickups for pretty specific stuff, usually very effected. But for standard guitar tones, I agree that bridge is best.

I'm super gassy about the switching scheme in the American Deluxe Jaguar. With the two picks ups and then the parallel/in series switch. So good.

I was gonna wire it for master tone and put a switch for that where one of the tones goes but 1: anodised guard is annoying to drill and cost a lot, and 2: I haven't had the strings off it in agescoldbrightsunlight wrote:It's super easy to add an extra switch to a strat to get neck+bridge sounds. Think I'm going to do something like this on my strat project. I only like neck, neck+middle, and bridge...so If I could add neck+bridge to that, or ditch the middle entirely for it, might have a winner (for me at least).MechaGodzilla wrote:I was gonna wire it for master tone and put a switch for that where one of the tones goes but 1: anodised guard is annoying to drill and cost a lot, and 2: I haven't had the strings off it in agescoldbrightsunlight wrote:It's super easy to add an extra switch to a strat to get neck+bridge sounds. Re: Sunday GAS Party (secret santees.....be stalked here)
I swapped wiring spots on my Steinberger Spirit so the bridge position was in the middle. Never got around to swapping out the Strat sized EMG Select, though, just the Z-90s in for the humbuckers, so it might not be the best combo middle-and position to keep in all cases.
