EQD Erupter - Internal Bias Trimmers

Has anyone fucked with theirs? Are the results fun and gross, or just gross?

I actually don’t have one…yet. I’m looking at the later version that has the volume trimmer and the two bias trimmers inside, but trying to decide whether I actually want one. I have heard that the first version without the volume control is unreal loud, and that doesn’t work for me, so definitely needing that volume trimmer, and just wondering if the bias trimmers are useful for shaping the sound or if they’re best left alone.

Been thinkin' about gettin' a V2. The volume trimmer'd definitely be useful.

IIRC, the bias trimmer is sorta subtle overall. (I think the V1 only has 1 bias trimmer.) Doesn't change the character of the fuzz that much. Fun to play with though. The bias knob on the outside has more effect. If you like the basic sound of the Erupter, you should be OK.
