He got another one (this time with a blue LED), so he parted with this one.
The new one came with extra foot controllers, too.

ok, so i just got back from blasting through the Warp Sound.
I was trying to get that "Sometimes" tone using Shields' settings from this pic:

Setting up the Warp Sound like that and then into a Big Muff pretty much got that exact tone. :joy:
When playing chords it pumps out some heavy harmonics that seem to jump around with each strum.
i was also able to get this tone with some tweaking of the Muff:

When playing solo notes it gives sort of a buzzing fuzziness that sounds really great on bass guitar.
I also set it up after a Big Muff and was able to get all sorts of lo-fi, am radio, shoegaze type tones.
It sounds insane with slow vibrato and some reverb; you're basically in drunk tone heaven!

So I'm still getting into it, but this was a good good buy so far! :yay:

PLL looks pretty goddam epic. Haven't heard of that one before. :thumb:

clones would be interesting, i really want to hear what it actually sounds like on its own because i'm sure it's possible to approximate the sound with a meatball pedal with fuzz in the loop, or any filter pedal that can do the 'fixed wah' sound

yeah, i'm really sort of bummed the OP isn't posting clips of it. for all i know it's just a crappy pedal Kevin Shields found some use for in his cacophony of insane fuzz. But then again, it could be amazing. I guess we'll never know.

yes, that's what i've suspected the pedal was, just a rare pedal kevin found in a pawn shop in the 90s and is using now all of a sudden to get us all frantically searching for one because we think it's the key to the elusive 'sometimes' sound

*On the Vorg comments, sorry for the lack of clips but I quickly sent it to a great pedal builder, some of you might know, and we are going to work on a Vorg + Muff clone to get THE SOUND... So far so good. Luckily I have a shitload of Muffs to choose from so I think we have the right combo. I will let you know when that is complete so hopefully the mystery will be available to the masses.

*On the PLL Drone, it's pretty cool. Not what I was expecting but it can be pretty useful. What it does is triggers 4 different droning tones that can chose between and dial in each frequency. So kind of like a bagpipe (they have a drone pipe that plays one continuous note while you play everything else over it). What is cool is when you mess with the other controls you can start to get the drone note to sort of modulate and jump around, that is where it gets cool.
Now that I have had the PLL for a while I really love just the normal fuzz on it. It's real gritty, big and warm. Nothing else i have comes close. Then also the other insane shit it does is an added bonus.
