New power amp in a box. Anybody have thoughts on Hughes & Kettner? I like the pretty blue light on some of their amps but don't know much beyond that.

Korg is doing the Volca FM 2. Now 6 voices, some more memory slots, some other changes: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fD4rNmhdFWI

Still affordable—seeing preorders for $170.

nice! program and pattern randomizers are awesome additions. could totally chuck it on a pedalboard for instant bleep bloops.

Why anyone hasn't built a Roland PG-300 type controller to physically open up all these tiny FM synths is just astounding to me at this point (even similar Peavey controllers go for around $300 in terrible condition). If Korg were to offer such device the Volca FM2 would be so much more appealing, even if it listed for more than the actual unit itself! I'm still looking through all the vids that dropped, so I'm not sure if they can be polychained or not (will probably have to wait for someone overseas to buy two and see 1st hand because......Volcas).

Also, I am pretty stupid TBQH

Worth checking the MIDI implementation to see if you could do an app programmer in MIDI Designer or some such? I wonder if they give enough access, including SYSEX stuff.

Seems ideal, and most of the demo vids mention Dexed (a plugin with it's own DX7 engine) and Synthmata (a web controller), but the tactility of hardware is always more enticing, always always always.

I'm grateful for all the options available, but I'd rather just go totally virtual (i.e. the OpSix) if that's what it ends up being (I've never really found the Volca keybed to be usable, in any case).

And as much as I'd like to hear three or four Volca FM2s staggering to keep up with each other at once, a single Hydrasynth and a Fairfield pedal seems like a better fit, for now.

That sounds really cool! Dont know why i giv pt2399s more attention they sound great! You guys seem to have a little to much fun so... Lehle made a tinier volume pedal that does midi over USB. Manual is ass though and tells nothing about the midi stuff. Apparently it has a programmable boost function too

for real tho their volume pedz seem really nice
