Either way, can't wait to hear about what you do with your soon-to-be new printer. :snax:

That thing looks really cool! I don't think it would fit my needs the same as a 3D printer would for now, but I could see one fitting into my workshop at some point in the future

Would anyone on here be willing to 3D print a small part for me? I have the design/STL done already. It's just a cube with through holes on two different faces but It'll need to be 100% infill as It's an adapter for a monitor mount. I'll cover shipping and can throw you some money for the trouble!

So my family got me an Ender 3 V2 for Christmas and I've been loving it! I'm mostly just learning the machine still and printing a lot of random models from Thingiverse (a few puzzles, random Star Wars Droids, the Hollow Knight, etc). I have printed a few music related things; mainly a bunch of blank eurorack panels, a neck rest, and a Passerelle style bridge

Finally really running into my first issues with it; all of a sudden my bed adhesion has completely gone to shit. I re-tried some prints that worked well in the past and couldn't get them to work anymore. I want to clean my bed with some isopropyl alcohol to see if that will help solve the issue, but all the stores around here are sold out for some reason (COVID crazies?).

The Passerelle is cool! How is it holding up to the strings?

I haven't noticed any issues yet. I haven't played too much though and it's currently high strung, so not quite the same as a normal set of guitar strings. I plan on re-stringing with a normal set sometime this weekend though. We'll see how the Passerelle holds up after that

Oh man looks awesome! I wonder if you could design it to be lower.

Curious about that bow - what is it /is it for?

There's actually another version by the same designer up on Thingiverse that is much lower and much more in line with Kaki King's actual Passerelle bridge:
Lower version: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2825559
Higher version: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4386930
The designer made the second, higher version to be a more efficient print and changed a bit of the design along the way. I ended up printing one of the lower ones as well to compare. The lower one actually spreads the strings out a bit more and has less radius to it, so it feels a little nicer to play/fingerpick. The higher one has much more radius to it, though, so it's nicer to play with the bow. I could actually probably mess around with the dimensions of either of them in Cura to customize them to some extent. I actually widened the base of the taller one because it didn't quite fit on my frets properly

The bow itself is a Morfbeats bow (I think they were called the cricket bow or something like that?). It doesn't look like they're on his website any more, but I think he still sells them from time to time. I believe technically it's for bowing cymbals and Morfbeats other weird metal instruments.
