yeah, i lurve that basic yammie shape - never suss'd that BB meant "broad bass"

but, yeah, Michael Anthony had Billy Sheehan and Nathan East beat in the looks dept.
i had one o'the cheepies way back - fine lookin' bass (BB614, looked 'er up)
i remember being disappointed that it was a natch finish instead of the Honda Element orange that was everywhere at the time (that and the original owner screwed a thumbrest in on the lower bout
in retrospect, dodg'd a bullet there on the orange or tangerine or whatever

but a 'burst woulda been high class indeed
i actually really liked the blade bridge pup - they shoulda kept that, even gone full blade. i remember it being a really good rawk-sounding bass, but also a decent all-rounder, but it had to go since i had no clue back then what i really wanted. these days i'd take an early 8Ts Ibanez or a BB (or that Washburn hawtness you posted!

) over most anything that'd be hangin' in a pawn shop, if basses still hung in pawn shops.... That Gibson V.A. tho

too bad they're so pricy now
bought it for peanuts, sold it for cashew halves and pieces
lookin' at the current used prices of yamaha basses overall, i started thinking if i'd held out i mighta been able to get almonds

then i looked at sold listings and, well, maybe there is an opportunity for a score there for someone interested in the broad bass

i'd give it my seal of approval, but i can't find anything anymore....
and thus concludes my rambling overshare
