I think it's worth posting ads on classifieds sites. I met a longtime collaborator/close friend because of a Gumtree ad I posted.

You'll probably have to deal with some weirdos but it's worth trying :idk:

I've found some decent bands people to jam with through specific classified sites. It can be a slog looking through profiles but there are
probably other people out there in your area looking for a similar thing to you and you might find them eventually.

Otherwise the old fashioned ways, posters in guitar shops, going to gigs and talking to people :idk:

I love talkin to people hah, especially if they've got similar interests as me, but with covid n the fact that I don't live in the city anymore it's a huge challenge to find

I've thought about posting somethin on kijiji, but I it's harder to feel out someones vibes over text y'know

It is. I've found online band-finding is like online dating. You sift through a lot of crap and you have to go on some bad dates/jams, but good people are out there.

Man this is tough. I'm basically in the same position you but it's been like 3-4 years since I've actually jammed with another person, maybe longer. Living away from the city without a place for people to come jam at makes it much more difficult. Also getting older and stepping away from the music "scene" doesn't help.

Anyway, I'm taking some audio classes at a community college and they have boards where people post wanted adds for people to jam with. That and some of the local music shops have those boards as well. I'd assume that you might have some luck finding someone semi serious if they're willing g to go out and post a physical add. :idk:

I have, more than once, taught guitar to a kid with the diabolical design to have someone to play with in the future.

Then they learn to drive, and pffft.
