stupid question but have you tried swapping out the tubes?

some tubes will just get quiet when they die, some will get really, really noisy like you're describing, sometimes constant, sometimes intermittent. Do you see changes to the tube glow or sparks inside your tubes (i've had this - looks cool, like a laser battle, but it's BAD STUFF actually) that accompanies the intermittent noises?

if the tubes are modern made, they are prone to suddenly die at any time at all regardless of age.

if they are vintage tubes this is still possible although much less likely. They all have a lifespan, for a vintage tube that is properly functioning it's 10's of thousands of hours. for a modern tube like I said it could just up and die on you at any point.

i would try swapping out the tubes before I tried anything else. Then make sure your jacks and cables are making a solid connection, maybe the jacks need replacing or the cable just needs a wee wiggle. Hope this helps and that you'll be enjoying your amps soon. That twin is a MONSTER, buy some earplugs!

The twin was fully retubed before purchased it.

The music man i'm not sure of. The tubes seem to have plenty of life left in them, though.

Good call out, too bad I dont have any spare tubes laying around.

Sounds like poor electrical wiring at the crib. My practice space made me experience these problems with a borrowed Sovtek Mig 100. One input wouldn't work at all without a loud buzz, however, outside the spot it was fine. It's probably just the wiring. I remember at the practice space, one time there was a terrible hum and eventually a band mate turned something off and the buzz no longer came out of the amp. Electricity and grounding is weird.

Reading your first post I would have said old carbon comp resisters.
After reading along, it is possibly other things on the circuit in your house causing the problem.
Refrigerators and florescent lights are the worse offender.
Then there are window AC units and fans Microwaves etc. some houses are wired strangely with separate rooms or parts of separate rooms on the same breaker.
Try plugging in different rooms to see if it gets better or worse.

Tried different part of the house, vibrato channel still isn't working. I, however, have had no cracking and popping from about 10 minutes of playing.

Thoughts?

I just did some internet searching, and the problem that most people that have had problems with the vibrato channel is that the switch is either broken or not connected properly.

I'm sure you've done your share of reading, but thought I would share anyway. Just in case!

I'm into about 40 mins of playing on the first channel, not a single crack or pop! Phew.

Vibrato channel still doesn't work. Sucks, I'm a sucker for a lot of reverb.

I've done a lot of reading! A lot of schematic looking overs, and who knows what else i've done. Thank you for the help, sir!

Since i pulled the trigger on a Handwired Amp I have the same Problems in my crib!
Never had that with regular stuff like Mesa or VHT but the Handwired one (Blackstar Artisan) has this slight popping and brizzle noise.
I already got a replacement since I bought new and thought bad tubes or whatever and it has the same problem.
Guess its either bad Power or some fucked up electric crap the dude in the flat underneath me is using!
I also noticed that a police car was driving by yesterday and my amp got like crazy with buzz and white noise cause it picked up the police radio…

Whatever, does anybody know if there is some kind of power cleaner or if a GOOD (I mean good in the sense of audiophile) Connector strip will be the answer to these brizzel noises…????

as far as the verb AND trem not working, that's strange. I play a 70's twin and my best friend/ other guitarist in my band uses an HD210 (which is a 130 2x10 combo) so i know these amps a bit. When my twin started doing the crackling it was due to my 45 year old tubes finally giving up. But i know what the whole bit is like. When my vibrato channel doesn't work it's bcause the FRCA's on the back of the amp got loose and arent connecting well. make sure you check the reverb tank. the vibrato bug could also be dead, when i repaired amps, that was the problem with that 95% of the time.
