Your Versa gripped that gear like a vice (and vice versa).

Random update: I sold the Strat in one of the more sketchy deals I've experienced. The guy was willing to buy it, but could only meet up at like 11PM on the day he contacted me. I almost declined, but ended up bringing my finance and dog along for support (or just more potential victims?). Dude turned out to be super nice; he was only in the area for the day and was headed home to about 2 hours away. Made like a fifth of my money back in one deal, so I'm pretty happy. I've also got the Blackstar amps, Yamaha, and RP1000 listed for sale, but I've only really gotten ridiculous low balls for them so far.

Anyways, I've been playing a ton of guitar and I'm gravitating strongly to the JM now. The neck fits my hand so well and I'm really starting to love the versatility of the rhythm circuit. I still really like the Tele, but it has definitely settled into second place. The Tele neck is a little smaller and doesn't quite feel a good in my hands. I do still really like it, though. My only "real" complaint is that they're both sunburst. I'm just not a huge fan; I'd prefer pretty much any other finish. Kind of considering putting the Tele up for trade for a different Tele model, or maybe something weird from the Alternate Reality/Parallel Universe series. Oooh, maybe a 12 string electric! I'm going to wait to see how things play out first, but I might keep my eyes open for some potential trades.

I've mainly been playing straight into the DRRI, which, I've never been a guitar straight into amp guy before, but I'm really enjoying it. I guess it helps to have reverb in the amp. I've swapped a few different effects out in front, but only one at a time so far. It has worked really well with the RT20, CE5, CT5, and a EQD Westwood. Still need to pull out a fuzz to see how it handles that. I did set it up in stereo with my Excelsior using the CE5 and RT20 to split the signal. It sounded great, but the Excelsior needs some work; it has developed a really annoying hum. I was trying to set it up with a signal into the normal and vibrato circuit, but I was reading that there are phase issues with that. Honestly, not really sure if that's true because it sounded fine to me. Might try to invest in something like the OBNE Signal Splitter or EQD Swiss Things to correct the phase and see if it makes a noticeable difference.

Great story with the Stratocaster sale! Take your time with the other instruments if you can afford it. Sometimes I have some cool things listed in ads and then it takes a few months until they find the right home with musicians who know how much they are worth. Reverb.com has been the best platform for me this year. I hadn't sold anything of these pedals through local ads for these prices.

Deluxe reverbs are the shit! I like it with fuzzes but the normal channel takes them better imo. Be wary of the power fiultering caps! The stock ones suck apparently and one blew on me (sounded amazing btw). Was not a hard fix but preferably they should be swapped to better ones before blowing to avoid damage to other components
