Re: Black Midi
Saw them back in 2019, in the mythical age were people walked outside of their houses and you could go and listen to a group of people playing instruments loudly. It was great! Apparently they're playing here in december, so I will attend if things get back to normal by then.

New KEXP session is one of the best things I've seen/heard in a long time. A special racket.

I cordially invite you to fuck right off and let the rest of us talk about music like adults.- dubkitty

The Windmill is a rad venue, and you guys seem to like this band

Played the Windmill a bunch of times with my old band. It's a nice, ramshackle, homely little place and reminds me the old Stereo in Glasgow, another venue that was home to its own little scene of awesome bands.

Re: Black Midi
Album is out now.
IMO it could flow a little more nicely in the first half, and the production on the tracks that premiered on the KEXP set is kinda underwhelming, but I'm still really enjoying it.
Diamond Stuff is a great track.
I'd give it a 7.5/10. Defs better than Schlagenheim, very keen to hear what they come up with next.
