Looks like there is enough interest to get the ball rolling. So here's the plan. I've got a proto board from Deadendfx on the way as Dino was kind enough to tell me that getting all these transistors might be difficult. He was right. The ones i thought would be the easiest (Pn2222a) have turned out to be the hardest to get in the specified gain range. No matter. I've ordered a lot more of those along with candidates for the other transistors and will make sure I have enough sets before starting the ordering process. (This should take a couple of weeks.)

In the meantime, I am happy to hear ideas about the aesthetics. I plan on going with UV printing. I've got a couple mockups underway that I will be posting for consideration, but by all means, if you are interested in ordering one, or even if you aren't but like the idea of doing some art for it, let me know.

Once I am happy with the proto and have all the transistors sorted, I will be requesting commitments to orders and ordering the boards and enclosures. (This will take another couple of weeks for the boards to arrive and the enclosures to get drilled and printed.) Finally, I will populate the boards, stuff the enclosures and wire everything up. My goal would be to have your order completed and mailed no longer than a month after receiving it.

I plan on going the multilayer capacitor route that Dino said sounded "punchier." Good quality jacks and switches. There isn't room for a battery. I don't mind shipping international, have done so on many occasions, just dont ask me to fudge the customs forms. Sorry, I know that sucks.

I think this looks pretty dope and captures the theme. The gray background would actually be the unfinished box. I hate those knobs, but don't have a template for the black with silver center ones that I would be using. They are kn1360 if you want to look them up. LED would also be clear and white when on.

Other ideas? Has to follow general layout principle with knobs and switches though.

Not sure about different colors as this is my first rodeo with UV printing. Of course, everyone will get to see a finished proto before ordering, (so don't worrry) but doing different protos raises overall cost and I prefer to keep it simple. I did a first run in neon noir colors on black enclosure, but it looked too.....contrived. I really hate the graphic design side of things. Definitely not my strong suit. That's the fun part of one offs, letting someone choose whatever they want on it. All that said, if you have a certain color scheme you might prefer I can look into it, but it will raise the overall cost by at least 10 bucks.
