Just getting some stuff (but not like 11 million things at once) is the best way to learn, for sure. And as you'll do that you'll think, oh I need xyz.

Now I think (probably not) I can relax a bit and stop worrying so much about space and just wait for my modules to arrive and build this slowly without overthinking this too much. Again, probably not...

Hey now! I had an 84hp case for 3-4 years friend.

I'm kinda debating getting either a utemps or uO_C. What is the difference between the two ? Which one should I get if I don't plan on getting pams (at least for now) ?

Also will most likely get a plaits and I think I'd really like Zadar

I also kinda hate the computer things from what I have tried  So I'd say keep it simple till you're really sure WHY you particularly want one of them? i.e. "I need to do this exact thing it does and nothing does it better".

That said that is my take, it may not be yours.

Yeah I understand, thanks for the headsup. However I've seen both on ann annie and lightbath (for examples) channel and both been compared in some ways to pams. I was wondering what are the differences between both? Which one would make more sence considering I have pachinko which may (from my understanding) overlap a bit with both? If only Divkid made a video on both :p

Temps seems to be compared to pams more so I might want to go with this one over O_c, at least for now...

tempi is "just" a clock source so it is quite different to PNW/O_c etc. It's a very good clock source! but that's all it does haha. It is compared to Pam's because obviously that is still sort of the "core" of PNW but also the original Pamela's Workout was also only clocks till they heavily updated it and added all the other stuff. This is not intended to do Tempi down, it looks great it is just a bit more limited (but seems like it does what it does very very well)

lol :worry:

Not sure if you made a typo or thought I was talking about make noise tempi, but I was asking about Temps_Utile and O_c. :p :poke:

I saw "temps" and read Tempi. Because I'm clever. Shut up.

Hahaha. I actually think you were not far from the actual answer. Temps_utile seems like it is mostly a clock generator/divider/multiplier and maybe some kind of sequencer. I think with Pachinko and Temps I'd be set for everything clock and sequencing related. O_c seems like it is more about cv, namely lfo and quantizing and random... I might be set on these with Pachinko, Ochd and the possibility that I get Zadar (which would do envelopes and vco but also lfo). Then I just need a filter, maybe another 4-6hp vco, some vcas, maybe another small envelope/function generator and finally some mixing stuff.

Here's an example: belgrad filter, electrosmith oscillator and everything vca/mixing/panning is random and could easily be changed but it gives an idea. I tried not to put 2hp/pico or other super small modules with tiny knobs just to see if I could do without them.

Even with a crazy-ass huge filter I might be good ?

 yeah won't buy other modules for a little while. Hopefully I get my momo modular modules (rings and pachinko) promptly, apparently some people had problems with him before (didn't know that when I ordered). The others all ship from Canada, the cases should be here tomorrow or the day after, mix02 and Zzzorb should not take long either. But yeah I hope I'll actually get the momo ones...

Received pachinko, Zzzorb and nRings today. :joy:
Spent the last two hours messing with them. Even with this small setup (the 3 mentioned + Ochd and Mix02) I get quite fun results. I wonder what I'll be getting next :snax:

I'm just not quite sure what it would add to the setup execpt rings being able to do notes with a different attack or decay, and the addition of two potential lfo. I'm also considering a second voice like plaits, some vca could be nice (although my filter already has one and plaits has one too)...

Maybe a sequencer... Or I could get an external one like the sq64 since I have limited hp..

maybe something that can do multiple functions like pam's or O_C... :erm: :?:

Pre-ordered Winterbloom Castor and Pollux. :!!!:
I think I'll keep plaits in mind but not buy it for now. Will concentrate on vca, envelopes, etc first..

Yeah... Definitely expanding before too long
