Need help from a UK bro

Post by Jwar »

I'm wanting to buy a guitar but the seller refuses to ship it. I get it. Could I get one of my UK ILF homies to pick it up and ship it to me??? It's in Barqoed??? I would pay for everything and even throw some cash your way for the pain in the ass! Plus, I'd let you jam out on the guitar for a bit.

Bonus points if I actually know you a bit. LOL! In fact, that's a requirement. :) Please and thank you!!!

If you mean Bargoed, that's apparently in Wales. I could be wrong but I don't think there are any Welsh folk on ILF. Closest city (disregarding Cardiff) looks to be Bristol.. cross the Severn bridge and it's an hour's drive there. Or if you were to drive from Birmingham, two and a half hours.

If I lived within that distance (admittedly a 5+ hour round trip sounds a bit much) in the UK and had a car, yeah I might consider it... for a price!

Good luck dude, hope you find somebody. I'm curious, what amazingly rare instrument is this, that you can't get in the US?

Don't know of any Welsh ILFers. I live too far from there to pick it up soz (would be like a 9 hour round trip...). Though I'll keep an eye out on this thread in case there's some way I could help?

hrrmm i'm a birmingham dweller and have no wheels but the current situation afaik is that driving over to another city to buy a guitar is not "essential travel" and might incur a fine? idk

Oh yeah wasn't even thinking of that. Definitely not on the cards under the current lockdown

Fuck me man! Well...fuck. LOL! I guess there's no way around this. I did not realize it was that locked down there. No wonder we still have so many cases here. :(

Yeah dude, we've been back in the third lockdown since just after the holidays. Fines if you're caught outside without a reasonable excuse, teh whole thing.
