Favorite Chorus???

has anyone here ever tried the COSMICHORUS ???

i also enjoy the BOSS DC-2, and the FRomel remake of that, the Fromel Seraph

for Small Clones, i like an analogman minichorus and Rocketride BJF modded Asteroids chorus

for CE-1 style chorus, the retrosonic is hard to beat.

the COSMICHORUS wins, tho......warm, analog chorus, with plenty of controls to go from lush to WHACKED OUT. it's a WINNAH!!!!

I'm actually a fan of the Visual Sound H20 chorus/delay. It's what I'm using now, and with both working together, you can get a lot of different tones. It's a big pedal real-estate wise, but it works out well.

Prior to that, I had one of the old Danelectro Cool Cat choruses (the 18v version) and that thing was phenomenal. One of the "Wish I didn't sell that" pieces of equipment.

I am in the Chosmichorus camp, it is super versatile and looks sexy. The Malekko Omicron Chorus looked interesting when it came out, maybe give that a peek.

It's the only chorus I've had, save for the one in my Marshall Valvestate which was very Cure-like. So far I like it a lot.

Boss DC-3 for me.

The depth up high + rate down low +a lot of high cut on the EQ + level about 11 o'clock = thick, slow moving, shimmery goodness.

It, along with all of my other pedals, were stolen a few years ago.

The only one I ever had is a vintage Ross chorus, the sound reminds me a lot of Andy Summers'.

I want to try the Red Witch Empress Chorus (The demos are very intersting, anyone here tried it?) and the Cosmichorus.

Is the Biyang CH-8 the only chorus with a tone knob? I picked one up on a whim and that seems like a totally essential feature to me.

There's a particular Chorus sound I'm after.

I'm not sure what exactly, but it was used on a lot of gothy records especially in the 90s when they had gothy bands with more distortion. It produces this real kind of twisted sound that's not overly "watery" with distortion. It's almost "Metallic" sounding but not in a digital kind of way. I've tried some digital choruses that just didn't do it for me at all. It's not that it's not warm, it's that it has a different kind of timbre. It was more kind of synthy than anything.

It might be the Boss kind of Chorus sound, I'm not sure. The CE-1 on my M9 doesn't sound like it. There isn't much variation of Chorus on the M9 Most of the Choruses on the M9 are very "Modulationy", not very transparent.

It's kind of the opposite sort of texture to the Small Clone almost...

I'm considering the new Small Clone though, since I did like my Small Clone and it's not modeled on the M9. Is it any different to the original? My issue is that it sounded too wobbly on higher settings which wasn't what I was looking for. I couldn't get some of the harsher tones I wanted. I think it was to do with the delay time.

Mid-Fi Pitch Pirate. Can get some pretty subtle chorus out of it, and some over the top tape-speeding-up-and-slowing-down vibrato too with it. And wave control!

Yeah, I'm not very happy with any of the choruses in the M9. Analog set to vibrato mode and tri-chorus are the closest to usable IMHO.
