I just don't know about reverb pedals... I mean I'm sure they look cool but if you have an effect loop then why not use a rack unit reverb made for studio use?

some people talk a lot about the Source Audio Ventris :idk:

if you want to play with convolution verbs in a pedal, maybe look at the Poly Digit, but that is one complicated mongfuxicator....

Good point. Just adding an extra pedal on your board does seem easier than dealing with the logistics of an extra piece of equipment. Not the biggest deal obviously, it's the first thing I can think of :idk:

I don't have a ton of experience with rack reverbs, but reverb pedals have come A LONG way since the day when rack gear was the only way to upgrade from a RV-3. My main thing though: 6 knobs and hands on control vs scrolling through menus. A shit load of parameters that only make sense in a studio, tend to annoy/confuse me in a live situation :idk:

Again though, I'm undereducated when it comes to rack gear, for all I know there's awesome rack reverbs out there that aren just as straight forward as most pedals.
Not even an issue for me personally. Old amp = no loop.

Yeah I use a rack setup, but also the OP made a thing about effects loops a while back.. ;)

I use a old Lexicon MPX500. It's pretty straight forward, it has 4 knobs that do most of your function control and saving presets is super easy. Also I have yet to hear a pedal that does the HUGE large hall sound right :idk:

True, those old Lexicons are the shit. But it's not like the preset can be switched from a compact controller you can put on your pedalboard, right?
If I were in the market for some hifi reverb with lots of options, presets, an editing app, expression pedal in, etc...I'd probably take a hard look at the Eventide Blackhole Reverb.
Don't know how it'd hold up against an MPX, but pedals are still just a little bit more appealing to me.

PCM-80/81 and 90/91 take a two button momentary switch; MPX-1 and MPX-G2 will do a 3 button momentary like a FS-3x. These all take an expression pedal, too. The switches can do preset switching or other things. So you can go MIDI-less or can supplement with these inputs.

Exactly. Then you can get that 32 bit audio quality. The crystal harmonics.

Because it's made in STRAYA! Designed by KEVIN!
That's typical Kevin bullshit right there.

does anyone know if the DBA room uses a spin chip? just curious. I think I'm finally caught up on the new peds. I'm torn between a rooms, context 2 or dig (golden ratio) for my end of chain feels. Is there a pink reverb out there?
i'm glad i can call you a friend. even if i'll never see you again

I just got a Gamechanger Light Pedal from the pre-order. I've only had the chance to noodle around for 15 minutes so far, but it's bonkers.
