Thanks, that sorta confirms what I thought.cosmicevan wrote:I have both, I'd say go with the Tensor, but expect it to take time to bond with it. I hated mine at first and wanted to return it, but it eventually became my favorite pedal. At your feet you can do so much more even without extensions like 4 button switch/MIDI. It has 2 buttons and the left switch in NXT mode can be used for setting a tempo (sort of - not tap, but duration of hold). Functionality on the Tensor is through the roof...you can do SO much. Granted you can can do quite a bit with Particle as well, if you are looking for something different, go for the Tensor. Particle is great because it also covers regular delay duties and then some. I admittedly haven't gotten nearly as deep with my particle as I have with my Tensor, but I always recommend the Tensor. I really love that pedal.
And yeah, the wide range of different sounds and uses comes with a lurning curve...Which is the reason I've been hesistant about getting the Tensor, I've been putting it of for years now. I also typicall don't spend this much on a pedal, especially not on somewhat weirder 'fun' pedals. From what I gather though, even *if* the glitchy pitched loop mangeling won't really do it for me, the basic reverse/slow drony ambient possibilities shoud be very useable. Psyched!
