you think those guys are fun? you should have seen the contretemps i just had on the Gretsch Pages when i pointed out that the victims of Pearl Harbor were fighting for US/European colonialism rather than American freedoms. given the age and generally conservative (in every way) orientation of the users there, many of whom think rockabilly is still relevant and sometimes bemoan the notion that 'the Beatles ruined rock and roll," i should have expected no less. but their thick-headedness about the realities of American history was rather stunning even in the age of Trump and our incoming almost-Trump-but-nice regime. but still...
