I've personally never heard of Spaceman 3 but feel could easily be a username on here. So it's prob half decent, I guess.
As for both the threads, maybe I'm getting old, but I honestly don't understand a single thing in the original posts made.
Somebody explain it in a language I understand, please?

*Spacemen 3

Every single genre you like began from them. Well, if all the genres you like is alt rock.

I would suggest going either with full minimalism or full maximalism and checking out Revolution (the song):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9Ep-sQlk00

Or the Dreamweapon bootleg:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_qA0nelfNc

Depending on whether you have 5 or 45 minutes available

A lot of the Jason Pierce stuff is kind of nascent Spiritualised material (I am sure he doesn't see it that way) and benefits from the augmented instrumentation of that band in a way that's pretty antithetical to the ethos of SM3.

Josh was nice when I met him 3 times. That’s all I can say. Lol. These threads always devolve into hate. Usually by myself. Lol

Well your taste is fucking terrible. See, there's a word called discernment. You can tell what art is better than others. People who can discern how amazing and important this band is, I can trust their opinion. At first they don't seem remarkable, but you slowly realise. All your favourite genres wouldn't even be around without them. Have some respect.

Anyway, for others who can discern good music. Some other lesser known ones / alternate takes that are fucking amazing.

Also,I cannot emphasize how amazing Spiritualized and Sonic Boom / Spectrum went on to be.

My personal fave Spiritualized song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFpB5t7 ... veyardPoet

Personal fave Sonic / Spectrum songs, have a hard time choosing between them:

Oh jeez, last time I was ensnared in a forum* debate regarding art it culminated in someone sending me a picture of themselves defecating onto a dinner plate.

(* not this forum, mind)
