I noticed that Caribou has gotten two votes already. I love Caribou, but haven't gotten to see them live yet, so I was just wondering what sucked about it? Was it just a guy with a laptop?

he had a full band when I saw him. it seemed like they hadn't played together that many times and just weren't clicking. I mostly remember thinking that I'd rather just go out to the car and listen to the album. probably would've been better with the laptop.
also, if I remember correctly, the opener was fuck buttons so there was a drastic drop-off in intensity to caribou. I'm sure that didn't help.

Well, now I don't feel quite so bad for not shelling out the ten bucks to see them a few weeks ago. I feel like a full band Caribou would kick ass if they could play the songs off of Up in Flames as tightly as the album, but that's a rather daunting task. On a similar note, I've also heard that Animal Collective are absolutely pitiful live.

Ok fo rilz now, how the hell was Arcade Fire not completely epic live? Was it after Neon Bible (that might explain part of it)?
