Yeah, it's not over yet and I think I saw that they found more murder hornets recently. 2020 could still be working up to a big finale

I don’t really have any big plans. I’ve purged A LOT of stuff this year and I haven’t missed any of it. I would like to buy a CHEAP drum machine for screwing around with. Likely an Alesis when one pops up on the flipped market. Just for casual screwing around with.

I’d like to pick up a delay/looper, maybe a DL4 if I can find one for $200 or less used. I’m in no rush. I may casually lust after some goofy pedal but don’t have specific needs or wants right now.

I’d like to join a band that “meets my needs” - socially easy, noisy and no rockstar bullshit that meets the schedule of a married 40 year old who goes to bed at 10 pm on weeknights (ie bi-monthly rather than bi-weekly jams). Hahaha I’m not really banking on this one.

My main goal for 2021 is the same of 2020: build a small studio/rehearsal space in the basement. Now that we finally moved in the new house i'm starting to think about it to find out how it can be done.

Gear-wise i don't have much i REALLY NEED except that maybe 2021 would finally be the year i get a sampler, model Samples or Digitakt, only time can tell.
There's a good chance i'm going to sell either the Tensor or the Count to 5, we'll see.
Also, i don't know why, but in the last weeks i started to look at Blooper again, and i kinda want one (even with all its cons). Luckily it's waaaay out of my possibilities right now.

Recurrent goal: finally put together some decent stuff and record something new that isn't just noisy-jams-impro-loops.

already said, a small mixer is always useful to have around. :poke: ;)

in 2021 I'm trying to assemble or mod something like a bilt volare , maybe starcaster w/ trembar, possibly a les paul signature clone somehow (w dif electronics). I don't have all the details but I miss having a neat hollowbody, and Id love to have something with an entirely different tone but same scale length and playability as a jazzmaster. typed this out for myself mostly but please reply send me offset looking semi/hollowbodies for more inspiration

I want to get a classical nylon string guitar because I play my electrics unplugged more than I do running them into my amp. Plus, that's how I started playing and I really enjoy playing finger style.

I want to build more stuff.

I really want a Hydrasynth, but I probably won't be able to save up for it.

one of the projects on my list is putting real Fender WRHBs and a Bigsby on a Squier Starcaster. it's a ways down the list though since the new WRHBs are $200 apiece.

My goal for the last few years has been to play loudly in the same room with some other humans. No luck yet and likely not for a while with the blood pneumonia spiking everywhere. My daughter and have been wailing as a drum and trombone duo since lockdown in the spring.

Aside from that I really want to check out the OP-Z or an Octatack. I’ve been using a 2000 classic for samples/ sequencing. Cool for the nostalgia but clunky. Also really want a 303 clone to lower the PH around the house. Need to up my microphone and rack game as well.

2021 is going to be radically different for me!

I only really want a nylon guitar. Maybe one of those Godin ones, they have always struck me as cool.
Other than that it would be experimenting with strings and picking up some instruction books.

How boring!

Pretty much. My Gear Goals at the outset of the year were all centered around having finished live setups for gigs. I'm pretty close, and really happy with what I have, but there's no gigs.
good deals are here.

that sounds killer! what finish are you going for?

Also speedran this, already managed to get a stratoid object. Thinking of upgrading to more expensive pickups
