Snowflake kit thread!

Post by FuzzHugger »

Thought it'd be good to have a thread for specific help questions, info on modding, and pics of your finished build!

Instructions are included with the kit, which will work for most beginners-to-moderate level DIYers. Some may need more help than others with switch wiring, debugging, etc...hopefully an interactive thread will help with building/wiring questions, etc.

I'll demo mine ASAP! In the meantime, search for any demos/clips of the Fingerprint.

Any idea what these might sound like with a active bass plugged into it?

Mine don't work

Help!

This is exactly what I did. I have pictures too. It won't let me upload them. maybe they's too big.
I bought the $24 kit. added my own switch, 9v, jacks, and enclosure.

I promise I'm worse at electronics than I am at paint.

Wow, my kit arrived already! Fastest international shipping ever! I wasn't expecting it for at least another week.

I just finished my first guitar build this morning, so i'm taking a break from the whole DIY thing, but hopefully i'll have something something to show in the next few weeks.

Thanks Tom!

Well, alright. But it's super messy because I suck.
I checked a buncha stuff with the multimeter, and I don't think it's any busted wires...

So it's still not working for you? Does the led turn on, but no sound...or just nothing turns on?

The LED turns on. the LED on the PCB even varies in brightness when I turn one of the knobs. When the pedal is off, I get sound. Once I turn it on, though, I get nothing. There's a piece of electrical tape underneath the PCB to keep it from grounding out and none of the pegs from the jacks are touching pots or anything, so I don't think it's grounding out.. I can't figure it out :(
