What pedals will help me sound like this?
Welp, I just got a free spot on my pedalboard, so... How do I sound like the modulation going on like 45secs and so on into this:

This is probably a keyboard, but I've heard the same quality modulation on guitars. It seems fairly common in the "post-rock" ilk of shoegaze. Any ideas? I'm sure there's more than a few ways to skin a cat, so whatever works, I'm interested.

Sure. I'm just interested in what could make a guitar sound modulated like this. I'm not actually interested in how this particular audio was made.

I feel like you could get this sound with something like fabrikat into gen loss or other random modulation. I'll see if I have any luck recreating it

I think I'm getting siiiimiiiilaaaar tones/vibez with the Pladask Draume actually. Tone rolled most of the way off on both guitar and pedal, granular reverb with random AM and FM modulation...I should be working...but I'll work on this a bit more...

Re: What pedals will help me sound like this?
Well the VSS-30 is like a sampling thing, and what is going on there is Jonsi sampling his voice and playing it on the keyboard with some effects. I think if you sampled your voice into a CT5 on the pitch up setting you'd sound pretty close to it. I believe what is done on the keyboard beyond pitch is like reverse and stretching a bit. If you can try a pitch shifter that isn't as good as the modern ones. I get those broken pitch shifted tones with my timebender which I think comes quite close. I think the same pitch shifting algos exist in some of the whammies
