I'm going to have to re-listen to it myself. I did it pretty fast so I hope I still like it

Re: Okta 2: Back to the Skies
Allright, I got some pruning/arranging done today...
clocking in around 10 minutes now,
but the rhythm/flow isn't quite there yet
and some parts are still too dense
BUT
I got the taxes out the door today,
the daughter has a long day of school tomorrow
and the dog is usually a calm companion for whatever,
so tomorrow might just be the day

Re: Okta 2: Back to the Skies
That seems to match my estimation. Just opened everything in the player and the tracks add up to 61 minutes — a respectable ambient album!

Correct. I just submitted the phase 1 tracks only cuz I didn't have editing software /editing soft ware experience.

Re: Okta 2: Back to the Skies
what a fight
I thought I had done too much yesterday & couldn't look & listen a DAW for a while
but I did & I reckon this is as finished as I will get it
if the last car-check reveals anything glaring....
your gonna have to fix it in mastering
(or kick it to the curb)
the file I upload should peak at... -6? -3?

I just imported all the other tracks and started fixing general levels. If you can choose i'd prefer to heave peaks at -6, i do not intend to apply much compression besides to the extremes, don't want to change how the tracks sound, just have to make them flow in a decent way volume-wise.

Just to be sure @MrNovember: all the other trackes are stereo but yours seems to be mono, is it wanted?

Re-uploaded with the final Audacity project too
There's honestly not a ton of stereo movement beyond what was originally in the samples I used, though

Re: Okta 2: Back to the Skies
Monday update!
We are very much on track for launch.
I have a tentative running order that I'll give a once-over to on my walk tomorrow.
I have track info from everyone except ognoy.
I'm able to spend some slightly-longer bursts sitting in front of my computer, so it'll be no problem getting things ready on bandcamp.

Re: Okta 2: Back to the Skies
Thursday update: megamix assembled last night, just ended listening to it on the way to the office and it flows quite good.
it's the first time I listen to all the tracks in a single session and I must say it is a satisfying experience. Most of the samples are totally unrecognizable but there are some distinct parts that are still identifiable and appear in several tracks, and this makes the entire project feel coherent.
Gonna upload it later today so Hak has time to set up the bandcamp for Saturday.
