What’s the smallest full size wah?

Post by BoatRich »

I have a CAE Wah right now and it’s gigantic. The piping around the bottom makes it a pain in the ass to mount on a board too. The Weeping Demon V3 looks rad but they don’t ship until June. What else is out there that’s smaller than a standard crybaby but not a mini? The Xotic is a little too pricey for how often I use wah.

The Xotic is the best I've tried that isn't full size and probably your best choice. I haven't tried the new Morley's but they're smaller.

If you can go mini the Wilson's are killer. I particularly like the mini Q wah. Good luck!

This thing looks perfect, top jacks and everything. I need to cram one more pedal on my PT-Jr and I can if my wah is just a bit smaller.

The mini Morelys rule, but I prefer switchless wahs so they are really the only option for me.

I love my Wilson Rippah Q. Have tried 3 or 4 others and keep coming back to it. My big clumsy feet didn't like the throw on the mini though

Oh yeah, I forgot about that DOD FX-17. I had one and it was cool. Also can double as a volume pedal.

Xotic may be the only mid-sized wah out there that's a traditional wah with a switch and a pot. Morley might be an option for an optical, but I think they only make one model that will park - and cocked wah is really the best wah.

as others have said, if you can deal with the mini size, Wilson has some excellent offerings. I'm using a full-size Freaker wah currently, which displaced a Teese wah I've used forever.
Maybe partying will help.

not exactly on topic but is.
Any opinions of the mini dunlops?
Are they hard to use if you wear size 14 shoes?
Do they really sound the same?
I keep thinking about getting a white bass one as I've used the normal one for over 20 years..
