but the Fuzz O))) definitely sounds like a cool pedal.
needs more gating though///

Holy MOLY that's sexy.

 More crushing than the Meathead Dark? Cuz my clone is totally cutting and crushing. I thought the Slomatics-used meathead was the model that became the Dark model after it was retuned? Infos?

I don't find the meathead to be great stacking tho. The thing I like most is a simple boost - it sags the fuzz a little and kills the clean up when you roll off volume.

The original Meathead as used by the Slomatics lads is the same as the Dark one. So history wise it's 1st gen Meathead (bassy/big caps), 2nd gen Meathead (smaller caps/less bass), then 1st gen reissued as the Meathead Dark. Also the Deluxe along the way too. It's all documented somewhere on the DAM site.

This is the pedal that the MHDark was modeled after. But it definitely sounds different from the Dark.
The original "SLomatics" meathead is what this is a "clone" of. It has has a HUGE low end and a cool gating but smooth highend.
I had a different Black and Gold Meathead and it didn't have nearly as much lows as this one.
Main difference between this and the MHDark is that the dark isn't nearly as smooth and doesn't gate like this one, but it is a great pedal none the less.

Think there's a slight difference in cap values at different times, but what you're describing sounds more like a different value bias resistor I reckon. Must hassle the lads into giving me a shot of theirs at some point to hear this smoothness for myself.

Hi fuzzers!
Wow didn't expect to see one of my videos here!
Glad you like the pedal, it's an awesome beast
If you have any questions, I'll gladly answer them.
Also, I'm really curious about people who now own one of those monsters, I'd like to see some pics of yours and/or vids and the way you use it.
I'll try to make better vids and some live excerpts using the pedal in a very special genre of Metal (here's the first clue  )

Greetzzz & Cheers!

New member here, doing a Massive necro-post here.
I just picked up a Meathead Deluxe clone by Jupiter Effects. I Scored it off FB Marketplace. It’s been through hell and only has handwritten notes inside. Namely serial 001.
The previous owner accidentally plugged in a reverse polarity supply, but It only fried the led cct. Sounds divine!

Excellent necro. That sounds sick, I've always wanted to try out a meathead of sorts. I remember being very, very enticed by the sunmachine fuzz0))) as well. One day I might try to track one down

Cheers.
Doing a lot of googling on this build and it lead me to this page, back on page 1. It’s dated 2010 inside, and made it’s way from Hamburg to Sydney somehow
