It looks like the type of place that needs the mix on your delay set way into the red.

A QUERY FOR THOSE WITH BASEMENT PRACTICE SPACES
i have a small leak in the corner adjacent to all my shit. the water has never been a problem but i don't want it to become one. i got a dehumidifier, but want to actually have a way to keep the water away from my shit. i was thinking sandbags but is there a more permanent solution?
http://thefirstteenagerevermusic.bandcamp.com/ that's my band i write music for.
http://kudzuu.bandcamp.com/ that's my band i play drums in.

Hey man your band sounds really good! I live in Orange County and my band is always looking to play with other cool bands! We should play together if you dig my band's sound.

Find where the leak is and patch it or get some of that dry-lock paint...that worked wonders for our practice space

sandbags probably won't do the trick...do you have a drain in the basement that the water runs towards??? if so keep a clear path for the water to run into the drain, stuff like carpet and cardboard will just make the problem worse spreading out the water.

And keep stuff off the floor if at all possible. I made a simple little riser for my amp out of 1x pine boards that keeps it up off the ground.

Thanks man. That's pretty rad. We are on the same boat ourselves. Do you guys have a Myspace where I can hear your stuff?

This is a shared music House, three rooms a larger room with a stage, a kitchen and a toilet.
It´s a venue for gigs, clubs, parties and what ever. A lot of bands has past through here the last couple of years, mainly punk and crust bands but a lot of weird electronic music too.
The bands in the house are some various incarnations of punk bands and some pop bands. Most famous band who used to reherse here are The Bear Quartet.

The next tiem my band is over I'll take a pic of everything set up, but for now here are two pictures of our practice space, I'm a neat freak. The first pic is the amps, the setup is a bit different now, and the other is the drum set and the mixer is that giant road case. Fun Fact: I bought that mixer from Adam Zadel the lead guitarist of Soil, he's a really cool dude, no ego at all and really nice.
