Help choose fuzz

Post by Bellyheart »

Vote please!

Getting some scrilla soon. Trying to get myself one of dem oscillating fuzzes. Torn between the lot. Help me out. I had the ABsynth and am upset it's past tense. Loved that pedal. My only complaint was the fuzz was in one range mostly, that 5k might be the answer.

For me the AFO seems to be the most "out there" which is what I think Osc Fuzz should do... Keep saving and get all three, can't hurt... :thumb:

The AB-Synth 5k definitely answers that! :) Full gain control and cleanup! More chirps, squeals, and some oscillation gating with the 5k too.

The AFO is definitely the most "out there"! With its wide range, there's a whole lot of extreme sounds. But extreme means there are some really crazy (and squealy) sounds in there, and the AF is the most love-it-or-hate-it pedal in the FuzzHugger lineup!

As for the Velcroscillator, it's really textured and unique....motorboating, filtered, and self-arpeggiation...crazy, while also delivering bit-crushed-sticky and tones in the classic boxy realm.

i  my velcroscillator more than my arc flash oscillator or my ab-synth.

if you have the scratch you can get the 5k from tone factor then use the 15% off fuzzhuggers at fuzzhugger dot com special you get from buying fuzzhugger at tonefactor and grab the velcroscillator at a discount! :joy:

or you can say fuck it and grab one of those ab-synth dreams...

I'm thinkin 5K Absynth might be the way to go

Although I do love the Arc Flash...

That isn't a bad problem to have, you know?

I first looked at the Tom's stuff for one pedal, and then watched all the clips and said "Oh, but that one would work too..."

Good luck in your tough decision. Personally, I liked the "save up and buy all three" answer.

Yeah potentially able to over the next few months, however, not now. In two weeks I'll have enough for one and a half, possibly two, which, if is the case, I'll get two.

Here's what I like about them:

Absynth 5k - Loved the rhythmic chirps and the suboctave bass, the squelching.
Velcroscillator - I love how the distortion sounds hard right. Good blend of the guitar and fuzz. Oscillator goes 8-bit and does the arpeggio dives
AFO - The range of the fuzz is brilliant, seems able to do a lot of clean and dirt. The oscillator does the rhythmic chirping and suboctave as well.

Only negative thing about any of those pedals is that they aren't the other pedals.

The goal is versatility. As many sounds as possible. Coupling things up with my fuzz probe makes for some really outta sight sounds.

TD - just send me all three if ya could. I'll send you back the ones I don't want with the money included...or do me a 5k demo soon.

Could you imagine? If I ever did do something like that I'd wanna have each to have it's own output, that way there would be multiple frequencies and some wild drones. Ooo that'd be so sexy.
