What's your favorite reverb pedal?

I almost pulled the trigger on the v2 Context to replace my CBA Dark World, but went with a Supermoon Chrome instead.

Just got a Mercury 7 to replace my Supermoon Eclipse. Love the Chrome sound on the Supermoon but I wanted something that a more tweakability and more presets. The Merc is definitely as tight as everyone says it is but there is one aspect of the Supermoon that it can't touch (so far). With tons of gain and volume the Supermoon sounds huge and overpowering, but even at it's highest settings the Merc still chills in the scenery. It seems to be something with the way the blend knob behaves...in Chrome mode the blend knob on the Supermoon actually seems to boost the volume of the reverb over the dry signal. On the Merc the reverb level will always be lower than the dry signal, even at 100% wet. I know the dry signal is gone when it is 100% wet but what I mean is that overall, 100% sounds quieter than 50%. So at 100% when I engage the pedal there is a volume drop. On the Supermoon it is just the opposite, 100% sounds insane and the volume is boosted a bit when it's turned on. Am I doing it wrong?

Does yours distort digitally in a bad way with a higher volume input? I have to really watch the input levels on mine.

i think im gonna move on from my empress reverb. i just don't use big multi feature pedals very well. gonna probably try a combo of two pedals and go with an RRR for more normal verb and a slö for ~big washy sounds~

i really want to know what is that makes people love the Slö so much. It's not that i don't like it, but from the demos i heard i don't see anything so special in it compared to other less-hyped reverbs.

Never had much luck with reverb peds, I always keep returning to delay pedals for ambient/drone stuff and background filler. Tempted to pull the trigger on an OBNE Rever thhough, the demos have been causing seriious GAS the last couple days.

Anyone wanne pull me over the edge and convince me it'll greatly outperform my Rubberneck + DE7 combo? I keeep disovering new tricks when putting different fx in the rubberneck's loop, such an awesome pedal. Too bad the controls don't seem to work properly when there's something in the loop though, and it's also kind of a pain that I have to basicly sacrifise whatver pedal I want to run through the loop.
So instead of the pricey OBNE Rever, I'm thinking of just going with a cheap small set&forget multi pedal, like the Zoom CDR70

I know, I know...the only right answer: I should get both

Been eyeing the Slö myself actually. So what are those other options you're refering to? There's a TON of awesome ambienty reverb pedals out there these days, it's starting to look like I should should go with whichever one crosses my path, i.e. can be found the cheapest. Seriously, I've wasted a stupid amount of time checking demos, just ending up with more option anxiety

But yeah, for me the Slö kinda stands out at this point. Compact, not programming or menu diving,...
Pad sounds, dreamy spooky stuff,...don't know, but the Slö seems way more useful than say, an EQD Afterneath

Well i was talking about how the pedal sounded, actually didn't even knew its price-tag
Just checked, seems 200$/€ is a pretty common price-tag for reverbs of that size and features (thinking about Neunaber, EQD, Old Blood Noise and all the other the usual suspects).
Staying in the same range i'd probably go with the new EHX Oceans 12, just because is feature packed and you can surely get the same sounds of the Slo combining the different modes (and a ton more), plus it has presets etc.. another option i'd like to try is the Neunaber Immerse MKII, iirc it doesn't have a swell mode, otherwise it's feature packed and small.
Maybe the Boss RV-6 is a cheaper option you could consider? the new dynamic mode should get you in a similar-swell territory.
I had the EQD Transmisser which was quite ok for pads but i never bonded with it, also i felt it was a one trick pony.

(My suggestion is always the Dr. Scientist Atmosphere, which can do everything the SLO does, and it's perfect for my needs, but it's above that price range)

I actually just said "whatever's the cheapest option I came across", cause I figure I'd let the price determine what reverb pedal will be the one pulling me out of the rabbit hole.
There's no clear winnner that stands out from the rest imo, they're all just a bit different, all with their own pros and cons. I can't really get to know a feature packed pedal like that just by watchiung demos, so I'll have to buy online sight unsees, and flip my way towards something that'll wanna keep for longer than a couple of weeks

Right now it's between the Slö, Rever, and the KMA Cirrus. Compact and packed with beatiful tones, elaborate and wierd with reverse, or an all-in-one postrock box with a slightly steeper learning curve.

I bought a rever last year and flipped it pretty quickly - I found it really underwhelming. Depending on how you want to use it, the MS-zooms might be a better choice. If you're specifically looking or a reverse verb, the reverb side of the keeley loomer sounds fantastic plus you get an extra fuzz.
