About bad dealers

Post by CrazyDroneDream »

Was wondering if it’s okay to civilly mention a bad dealer I just finished getting a refund from on Reverb? I would like people to know the risk of dealing with this certain shop.

The Guitar Guru Network is the seller. I don’t know if they post here but I don’t care. They wrote F.U. In the comments of my refund after they had been unresponsive to my messages from a 2 day shipping order that I ordered on May 8th that still hasn’t arrived. Then he tried to say I needed to grow up. That out of hundreds of orders they have received recently that I was the only one bitching. Then when I responded he tried saying his wife is dying, has a kid, relocating business that I should of been more patient. I responded with the fact I work and service hospitals and business during the virus stuff and I take care of my mom. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have to care where my item is. Also he said to never darken his business again as if I would ever want to order from him again. HAHA! Plus there was some more explicit words he used too. I don’t treat my customers at my job that way.

Never even heard of that company. Are you Thomas C? I see them explaining things away on their Reverb is why I ask.

I hate unprofessional companies. They can take your money sure, but not fucking deliver and place the blame on other shit.

The text I highlighted is a huge red flag. Nine times out of ten that is code for "I just don't have my shit together and will provide any excuse for my mistake." Reminds of the Midnight Amplification Devices debacle of years gone by--dude provided every excuse in the book, most demonstrably false. The difference here is GGN appears to have a ton of positive feedback/satisfied customers so who know what really happened but there's no reason for him to be rude like that.
Good deals on ILF: too many to list, just ask!

Nope I’m not Thomas C. Overall I like a Reverb.com, never had this much of a jerk for a seller. Which is crazy because he has such great feedback. That is why I ordered from him. Honestly I think the seller just dropped the ball on my order and never thought I would ask for a refund. That he thought he could keep making excuses with me on why I still hadn’t received my order.

Yeah I haven't used the site in years but even the best people have off days.

Out of curiosity what were you trying to buy?

^ The DBA Rooms pedal. He got them in stock early. 2 day shipping on 5/20/20. Still hadn’t arrived as yesterday. When I would write to ask if there were anyways we can see what is up with the shipping he wouldn’t reply to my messages. Then the pedal is in stock from other sellers. That’s $400 I can use for more important things or get from another seller to that will communicate with me. On Sunday he finally responded to me and said he would get back to me on Monday with info. Monday came and went with no info from him. Tuesday same thing so I said “If I don’t hear from you by Wednesday after I get off work I am going to ask for a refund.” Still no response. Then when I asked for my a refund he gives it but writes F.U. In the messages amongst the other things I have mentioned and thought I was in the wrong. All I did was ask for a refund with advance notice. That because he wasn’t communicating with that I have no ther options. If he would of stayed in contact with me and shown he cared I would of been fine. I felt like he got his money but could care less that I hadn’t received the pedal. There is no reason the pedal shouldn’t of shown up by now. I get mail everyday. I actually got a pedal from here on B/S/T and it arrived in 3 days. I was more than patient and trying to communicate with him.

Keep in mind he replied within minutes of me officially requesting a refund on Reverb. But would take days to respond to messages before or if at all.

Ya, you were definitely reasonable requesting the refund.

Pretty shocking response considering you provided notice.

What a derp.
