Why, thank you. Tone Machine>Rusty Box RULES.

Rusty Box is one of the only pedals I still nEEd. Funny you mention the tone machine, cause I've been thinking about adding that to my build list.

One of these days you'll be able to play a show here without even having to bring your gear

Fuck yes. All I really need is FAR too many 15's and a Tone Machine. Fuckin' love that pedal.

i'm not trying be a debbie downer or Nouriel Roubini or whatever but i've definitely grown weary of the two drummer, second percussionist et cetera trend & i would have figured it had run its course by now but i guess i was wrong; granted, i'm someone who thinks even having a drummer in a rock band is kind of played out at this point but i am not saying the two drummer thing can't be done well but it really only seems to work when things are more tribal oriented or polyrhythmic and not rock-based.

Well, we're really sorta doing this to transition easily to a bass and drums duo due to college, so I'll let you start your rant on that now... :p

yeah i am sorry to rant like that. i was just kind of talking-out-loud-to-myself; actually, i think a two drummer/percussionist slash bass combo would be cool. or two bassists & two drummers !!! that would be gnarly.

Two bassist is seriously the cats meow. We do it from time to time.

i don't think i've ever even seen two bassists on a stage before that would be too ill.

okay so yeah watching the video. i actually did enjoy watching it. it seemed like you guys were having fun and i mean that is what's most important. but i mean just don't understand two drummers playing in unison. my favorite two drummer thing of all time definitely was when the Butthole Surfers were doing it. but again there was a just a different vibe going on there. i definitely dig what Indian Jewelry does live with the second percussionist thing. but again they have like a drum machine/drummer/second percussionist thing on stage so again totally different vibe.

anyway. theavondon can you explain in detail more about this transition. are you losing a member & you're gonna do a bass/drums combo. or what.

:joy:

Basically, I'm going off to college, and the drummer on the left and our guitar player are still gonna be in high school. But, the drummer on the right is gonna be my roommate. So, we're gonna transition to a two man band to keep the band alive, and still occasionally play four person shows whenever we can.

But, we're also doing it to match drum volume with amp volume. At our last show, everyone said the balance was juuust right until Nick broke his bass drum head, then the drums were a bit quiet. AND, we're doing it just to be ridiculous, considering most local bands in our area have a hard time finding a drummer, and we've got two.

Plus, they're not always playing in unison: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1160769115129

So wait, are you pulling a Tortoise with the two drummer thing? Because that would be awesome.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Current ILF Love: OHNOHO CHK CHK BOOM, Mellowtone Melx Fuzz 2, EQD Dream Crusher, Devi Ever ID, Dr. Scientist Proto-Miniberator - new vids eventually

I had to look them up, VERY COOL.

But, I'm surprised nobody's mentioned the one band that's actually influenced us on this. Maybe that's because we're just really lame....
