I would be down to buy something but I'm really limited on funds right now. If I could find something for like 100 or so, I could probably swing that.

I've tried a bunch through tour boxes via TGP.

They all have an allure. But some of my favorites are:
Fuzz Mutant
Marq Won......http://soundcloud.com/caesarshift/marq-won
Kay..............http://soundcloud.com/caesarshift/asparagus
Squarewave+..http://soundcloud.com/caesarshift/basic ... squarewave

He has so many, it's hard to keep track. I should have started this quest years ago.

That knight fuzz sounds like it has a cool bloom and grab kind of thing to it. Thanks for the clips!

I've tried about a dozen BA's and the keepers for me are the Fuzz Mutant and Spooky Tooth. I wouldn't mind a Marq Won, Supa MKI, and a Bye Bias too but I'm trying to control myself at least a little.

None of them were duds - what flavor(s) of fuzz are you looking for?

Some quotes edited for the sake of brevity. :idk:

Yeah, I have a bunch, but in addition I've tried a bunch more from when I was running tourboxes for John over on TGP. I'd have him send the tourbox to me first. I like to be familiar with the pedals should any questions arise during the course of the tourbox. That way I could potentiallly answer easy questions without having to bother John. Nothin' worse than a clueless tourbox organizer. :grumpy: Also, it's a nice way to try out a whole mess of mostly FUZZ pedals.  There're really SO SO many. It's difficult to keep up, John's pretty prolific.

Zippy's an excellent choice! :poke:

:thumb: Totally agree! Just to clarify though, those were "Canadian tourboxes". They're a little different from the American kind. :p

That's a pretty nice price! :)* :yay:

You people may wanna consider narrowing down your choices of pedals to try. :snax:

I talked to John and he gave me permission to start organizing a tourbox here.

Unfortunately, it'd only be for the U.S. for now. :( (Entirely possible to include Europe and Canada later. :idk: )

COVID-19 precautions (whatever they may entail) will be followed to the best of our collective abilities.

So, which four pedals are people really wantin' to play with?

I've built two Zippy clones, one I'm currently using but not the first. Now I haven't tried a real one so I can't compare, and didn't make them with the intent of selling.. but I do think it's a damn fine fuzz (comparable to the demos) and would be happy to let you try it, or trade/buy for a low price should you be interested. If not you could just ship it back.

I've got a lot of Basic Audio fuzz. The modernizing and refining John Lyons does to these old circuits is always really interesting and useful.
