I use most verb pre-dirt, but shout out to Digitech Digiverb gated mode after the MXR Distortion+. Holy hell does it sound magical. There's nothing like it.

For a while I used to keep it plugged into the fx loop of the preamp I use as a DI box for home recording set fairly subtle-y. I kind of thought of it as the fake room/ambience to glue stuff together when it was all going direct into the computer.

I used it subtly too. It sort of smoothed out the spaces (gaps) between chords, and it made my carpeted practice space seem like a more lively room. And my dirt pedal still sounded like it was supposed to, and dirt didn't make the reverb sound bad. Win-win.

Also good for Cramps type wetness.

Anyone here eyeing the EHX OCeans 12? read the manual yesterday and it's really packed of features. Beside the series/parallel operation of the two reverbs there are also some cool routing options for stereo setups like merge or split the two different reverbs on L/R and a dedicated knob (tide) to pan the stereo output.

https://www.ehx.com/products/oceans-12/instructions

I don't like the looks and i don't need it at all, a lot of features are based on the "press-this-and-turn-that" system, which is not a thing i personally like (beside the secondary knob functions - which are marked underneath the knobs - there are also 2 or 3 effects for each mode, plus 2 dedicated mini-knobs), but it might be interesting for someone looking for a wide and tweakable reverb at a lower price-tag than the usual Strymon/Eventide/etc.. curious to hear how the algorithms sounds. The Resonant Mode should be ideal for drones.

Hadn't heard of it. Like you, not convinced on the controls, but the feature set is fantastic!! Not something I need but worth keeping in mind if they ever turn cheap. :snax:

I got the Pladask Draume recently and I've been weighing it up against the RM-1N haha. It has a much wider range but the RM just does this one thing really well and I sort of want to keep it even though that wasn't the original plan...

there just seems to be no reason not to own a digiverb. I mean I have the eventide box, el capistan, rv-3, and timebender all of which do very different, and very nice reverbs. The only reverb pedals I really consider buying semi-frequently are the digiverb and that zoom multi-box thing

I had not seen that previously, but that looks seriously quite dope. I had the cathedral for a long time and I really liked it. Several of those algorithms look quite exciting I gotta say. I'd love to hear some opinions on it.

Can I have second dibs? ;)
Miss having a RM-1n in my life. Built DBA Reverb Machine-cline, but it doesn't fill the gap.

well, two reverbs on board never hurt anyone - or maybe yes :excellent:

I think some demos should drop in a few days now that the orders are open, the only "decent" one i found yesterday displaying the different modes is this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxDaw6fpDtA. I don't like the kind of guitar playing (also the kind of guitar  ) but listening to it with headphones you have a nice impression on how it sounds and how the reverbs diffuse in the stereo realm.

I was like "how bad could the guitar be" but oh my god that is one of the most pointlessly ugly guitars I have seen.

A FX-loop for reverb is pretty damn dope. And the thing does sound very good I must admit

Best kind of trouble, put them on the drum bus or stereo bus when recording/mixing.

That would sound great! It's a great pedal on drum machines, should re-amp some drum drums through it.

What is a good option for a basic spring/hall reverb these days? I could do with something small that would be almost always on. I've used a Digitech Supernatural in that way for a few years but it's a bit bulky.
